Dear Neighbors,
Since 1 November 2024, we have not had a manager for our funds. Everyone expressed the need for protection under an organization of some sort, and we all agreed that no one should have to represent the community, personally.
We need to move forward towards rectifying that situation. I have contacted numerous legal offices, most of them with little success. I finally have found a lawyer who thinks that she can create a nonprofit corporation for us for under $1000.00. This is only an estimate, and unforeseen situations might arise to bring the cost up. Unfortunately, and maybe understandably, she cannot supply more accurate information.
There will be a scheduled road/well meeting on Saturday, the 1st of March for 10 am., at the end of the road. Saturday mornings have been the preferred times in the past. It will give each of us enough time to do some research and contact offices and agencies, in order to bring a variety of solutions for a vote to the meeting.
It would also be an opportunity to submit appropriate payments without having to mail them for the payment due date (3/1/25). Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and everyone will be available.
